It's pretty notable that Nuguse is coming off a world record and roughly a World AT #4 at the mile indoors, Hocker a 7:22 3k, and Gourley strong World Indoor/Euro performances, whereas Kerr dns'd Millrose and I don't know if he even completed any indoor races prior to this, so it's not surprising that he wasn't that sharp. I wouldn't read too much else into this performance. He's well behind where he was last year but World's is not for a long time and he will essentially build for the next five months with maybe one or two races before World's. I assume as reigning World 1500m champion from 2023 he doesn't even need to qualify for the British team.
