I mean...there you go? Not a good movie among them. Where is the Casino/Godfather/Rocky/Goodfellas/Metal Jacket or even Austin Powers/Wedding crashers/Old School or even a decent indie like Sideways/GP Blank/Nap Dynamite/Clerks.. of the last 10 years? Nothing. Guilty pleasures like any John Hughes movie? Or John Cusack movie? Is not age, even my kids hate everything today and movies are empty. There was time about 5-10 yrs ago where kid moves hit a stride with cars, megamind etc... matter of fact maybe Megamind is the best movie of the last 10 yrs?

I tried to watch Oppenheimer. The long, non-stop, drawn out notes of the soundtrack were too much. Did that ridiculous music continue throughout the whole movie?
Great story! But yes the sound track and audio was unwatchable. Ruined possibly the best movie of the last 5 for sure. Apparently the artsy fartsy director said it made it more authentic.
I was mesmerized and totally entertained by Avatar: The Way of Water.
Unanswerable question. Every movie made in the last five or even ten years sucks. Cinema is dead.

Civil war is pretty good.
Everything is now a remake or a tentpole type movie. There's no more original ideas in cinema. The medium sized movie has disappeared. And it's seems like the best and original scripts have migrated to streaming series on TV.
Top Gun Maverick or the last two Mission Impossible movies.
Smurfs
How to train your dragon live action edition

In no particular order for me:
Everything, Everywhere, All At Once
Parasite
Both way overrated
Oppenheimer is the correct answer.
But to be fair, I don't watch a lot of movies.
Top Gun? Gtfo of here.
I quite enjoyed Spiderman across the spiderverse as my favorite animated movie in the past few years. I liked Dune 2 a lot and my brother liked Parasite
Most movies have been crap for the last 10+ years. The best stuff out there are the mini series: Breaking Bad, The Wire, Boardwalk Empire, Madmen, I could list another 30+ including the British ones, Vera, Luther, etc.
The one movie I thought was great was A Complete Unknown. I'll never understand why Timothee Chalamet didn't win the Academy Award.
Top Gun 2.

Easily the Barbie movie, are you Ken enough?
Bevis and Butthead do Barbie was much better
Love every movie on your list. Godzilla Minus One was the biggest surprise.

Reading this thread made me realize the answer is no.
also Parasite is now >5 years ago
All the movies mentioned would not rank anywhere in the 500 greatest films ever made list. What the average movie goer gets these days is regurgitated ideas from long ago remade for the current day masses. SAD
