Alex Matata Nzioki is an athlete who started running at international level in 2024 only. He is managed by Derek Froude, his coaches are John Litei and Nicholas Kiprono.

He is twin brother of Charles Matata, this means his real date of birth is not 2003, but the same of Charles (27 July 1997), so in the profile of WA there is a mistake.

At the moment, waiting to move to marathon (we have still to decide if at the end of this season or at the beginning ofthe next), he can be considered a specialist of HM, but especially a winner. His PB in RAK (59'20") is not yet of top level, but the fact he beated athletes like Lasoi (PB 58'10") and Dida (PB 58'39") clearly show his potential.
