Heading out for 3mi shakeout now before a track sesh later this afternoon
My favorite memory of running on Christmas was 1982 when the temp in the Michigan city I grew up in hit 64 (against a normal high of about 30). I was in college and a few friends and I celebrated by running shirtless through town. The year before it had been 18, so it was pretty fun! Now I'm in my 60s, it's icy out there, and I will be running on a treadmill tomorrow instead.
Yeah I'd say running a train on the local hooker classifieds of whatever place I'll randomly end up in on Christmas. But this thread has also motivated me to consider doing a 3 mile timed run or 5 kilometers, whichever I get to first.

The question is directed to the minority here who actually run. Usually I've been taking a day off for Christmas, but I think I'll run tomorrow since I have a Febuary half marathon that I want to keep up weekly mileage for and it'll only take like an hour, and that really isn't bad.
Yes I shall be out in the cold for a 4 mile jog this Christmas morning.
Why the hell not 6.9??

I should get out for a few miles. I'm nursing a really bad toe right now. Which is sort of ironic. I hurt it XC skiing last weekend. It's only the second time this year I've had to take a few days off from running due to injury. The first time was a cycling crash, that could have been REALLY bad. Fortunately it was just bruising and stitches and no broken bones.
I'll still hit 4300+ running miles for the year. But I guess the lesson here is if you take up other sports to cross train for injury prevention purposes, don't. You'll just get hurt. So run more.
Of course I'm kidding about that...sort of.
Merry Christmas everyone!
I XC skied (skating) 14 km today on nearly perfect snow conditions. Went yesterday for a short loop after work, and I’m pretty beat now from the lack of specific fitness. But it was fun nonetheless. Hope your toe heals soon enough!
Just got back from an easy 9 miler. Kids were busy playing with their new toys so they didn't miss me. I plan to do another 4 this afternoon. Merry Christmas!
Ya. Christmas is kind of a weird day. Trails empty.

I ran 6.9 en route to my 7 this AM!
18k easy this morning at 5min/km pace and 15x 400m interval session in the evening with warm up/cool down jog. total 33k for the day plus about an hour of cycling to get to the track and back.
Yep. Just like I have every day (except one) for the past 13 years. Merry Christmas!

what happened on that day?
10.3 miles this morning
YES
My dad is a little older and he does his Christmas Day 5k but I always like to do a regular easy run. My brother had a Vo2 workout programmed today but we will see if he does it haha
No.
7.7 miles starting at 6 am. Almost no traffic, a few people out walking their dogs. 40 degrees, calm and dry here in Central California. Now curling up with Netflix to watch football.
If a 10 minute pace for a bunch of guys in their mid-late 60's counts as "running" YES we ran today !
Every year, on Christmas Day, someone would break into the gym in Austria, where Arnold Schwarzenegger worked out. The owner finally figured out who the culprit was and gave Arnold a key to the gym.
Yes! Every year.
