That’s what we call tough love in Africa! We have been chastised , hit, beaten name it but it was always out of love! I am thankful to my parents, neighbors and school teachers to have given us such discipline with love! Now we can grow up in this crazy world ready and resilient in every situation! No mount high enough, no valley is low enough anything is possible just because of that discipline! When I was young I would feel my family hated me but when you grow you are more than grateful for that kind of love!
Now there is not only one way to show that love, the beating just came with all the soft and gentle methods too.
But if the western wanna just use only the soft part, good luck on raising soft kids! No wonder why many are messing their credit, are confused mentally, have no moral boundaries, or just crash down whenever they face harshness of LIFE.

Kind of tough to resolve in house when one side features people that suffered physical and emotional abuse while the abuser’s attitude is that he made you a champion, so stop being an ungrateful POS.
