Florida is 13th among the states in per Capita CO2 emissions. They could curb 100% of their CO2 emissions tomorrow, it would not have a notable change on this storm or others in the future in the least (0.5%). US CO2 emissions per capita have declined about 40% since 2000 (start of the George W Bush Amdinistration). Meanwhile, global CO2 has risen 45% over that same period.
Hence why I said his current policies had nothing to do with this hurricane, but that continuing his policies - and the policies of other so-called "conservatives" - would lead to yet more problems with the climate in 20 or 30 or 50 years. Try to improve your reading comprehension.
Florida could do all it wants. All the cuts in the US and Europe haven’t kept pace with the rise in Asia.
Between all the man eating sinkholes, alligators, snakes, swamps, and mosquitoes in Florida, I don't see why anyone would want to live in Florida. You can't even eat a picnic in a park with a water fountain without getting eaten yourself by an alligator hiding in the water.

When Pete Kostelnick did his Alaska to Key West transcon a few years ago, the most dangerous place he ran was through central Florida. Why? Because trailer dwellers would point shotguns out of their windows and track him as he ran by. Stop to tie your shoe ... pass, you might get shot at.
So, you're not afraid of your mom's basement flooding and drowning you? If you don't drown you can expect the sewage to backflow into your lair ... but it will be redneck poop so nothing for you to worry about.

But if a lot if states and countries have a science denying douche in charge nothing will ever get done.
I got on a plane out of the state far away early on Sunday from TPA airport. I told my friends and family that if they wanted to evacuate (by plane or car), they should do it on Sunday. They thought I was crazy. Now things are projected to get worse for the area and people are frantically trying to leave but the interstates are like parking lots, major fuel shortages, TPA airport closed, most hotels from central Florida to Atlanta are sold out, etc.
My main reason for leaving was the discomfort and risk of being without power or running water or being short on supplies for 1 week plus afterward.
People need to be more comfortable with ambiguity. If they wait until a direct hit is a sure thing and evacuation orders are given, it is too late. I did the same thing for Hurricane Irma but fortunately it was never that bad.

Those Halloween movies about rednecks hunting down city folk are not entirely fiction!
My mom died of cancer 20 years ago. Her "bedroom" is a coffin. Her spirit moved on long ago. You are one sick dude to be sleeping with dead women ... that fits your creepy profile.
Water wizard, 3rd class here. I am working a spell to dispell the hurricane and save Tampa. I will do everything in my power, but I don't believe I'm strong enough to stop this storm. I need as many people as possible to boil pots of lemon juice. Lemon steam gives me mana.
