Good early races for NAU, BYU, and ND. As an ND alum, I was impressed with their two (unattached) Frosh running 23 and 24. Would have given them 7 in the top 24... if.... Grace Schrager, one of their top returning runners and just a Soph, didn't run. She's probably injured or coming along slowly. She was missing from outdoor track last year. Question is can they get a couple really top sticks. NAU had a 15 second spread from 1-5, that's great. Rembember running at ND is pretty much like running a track race! It's flat with just a few tight turns.

And both are true fresh(persons) -- Isabel Allori and Mary Bonner Dalton. Both finished comfortably ahead of ND veterans Sophie Novak and Caroline Lehman. Great intro to high-level college x-c. Expect great things!

Highly touted Allie Zealand (running for mom at Liberty) ran well in 16th, as a true frosh.

Texas Tech nice lead at 1 mile!

ND's unattached freshmen, who were 6/7 for ND, in before BYU's #4 woman. NAU clearly #1 in nation. I would take ND ahead of BYU at this point in a National meet given ND depth.

AT 3k, Texas Tech is burning up.

NAU with 7 in the top 20 (8 in 22) and leading comfortably.

A few of the Texas Tech Kenyan's fell off hard between 1 mile and 3k. NAU takes the lead.

Jenna Hutchins has been showing up more and more consistently in great form. Another high school super star making good!

I am glad to see her back in it. It sounded like the injury that she had with her back was pretty debilitating for a long time. So happy to see her strong and near the front again.
