Not sure why a 3000m runner would be at all interested in anything above 10k. I'm sure he will run any distance well, but I don't see the point in competing SC, 13.1 and 26.2

Get the Mile and 5000m records next summer.
Well, despite you not seeing the point of him racing the SC,13.1 and 26.2, he does -he said so…
He's already got 4, 1500m indoors, outdoor 2 mile; 3,000 and 2,000. Since started his world championship races as a 16 year at the steeplechase at 2017 IAAF world championships in London in 8:34.88, I repeat as a 16 year old, I have no doubt that he can take down that record and based on his 3k and multiple titles, the 5,000 will go and based on his training the 10 and 1/2 marathon road should also go and that will take him to 8 and since he is so close in coming years the mile and 1500 will go. That's 10 :)

Not that difficult. He has a very simple goal: to become the greatest distance runner in history.

1500: Brussels (if good conditions) will say a lot whether this is truly on the table
Mile: doable, hard
3000: done
5000: almost gauranteed
10000: I think 13:02 is within threshold for him based on his Sound Running result so this is possible but hard
1500i: done
3000i: hard but 7:17 makes this his. He is better than Girma
5000i: should be his if he takes a shot
5k road: should be easy for him
10k road: hard
To round out 10: 1 mile road, 3000S, half marathon, and other indoor records (10k easiest [would be a training session], mile, 2 mile)
That's the list if you don't want to count "world best" distances. Agree that marathon is not on the table - it's a different sport. But plenty of events to have a chance at 10 WR. It would be wild to have so many concurrently
I think we'll see a lot of attempts in the 2026 down year
No offence my friend but nobody will approach 3:27 in Brussels let alone the WR.
Fast times are finished for this season, sprinters included. All the athletes are wiped.
The only exception may be the men's 800m seems to have unfinished business.
Down the line if he changes his training the Half and the Marathon is doable. Personally i did 2:08 and was capable of a 1:01 half in the right conditions and couldn't dream of lower than 13:45 5k. Believe me for him a 60 min half would be barely more than a training run..ridiculously effortless.
He's just having fun with goals that help motivate him and direct his training. It's not entirely delusional, he's basing it on his age, progress and performance metrics in training.
I'm sure he'll get more records, but getting all of them is unlikely, partly due to the fact that the Ingebrigtsen's seem to get injured often. Another question is, whatever records he gets, will he hold them all at the same time? If not, who will beat them first?
Should be fun to watch, and as Noah Lyles said, after stating he will get Bolt's 200m record: "People love to watch people fail. They just do. I don't know why."
the actual distances he was talking about are: 1500m, 1500m during a decathlon, 1600m, mile, 2000, 2000 steeplechase, 3000, 3000 steeplechase, 3000 step 3200, 2 mile
As much as I like him, seems extremely implausible that Jakob could run 1000m significantly faster than Arop, Wightman, Sedjati, or Laros, who are all 2:14 or better. 2:15.x on a good day probably.

In 2020 Jakob’s brother Filip ran 1.16.46 three weeks before a 800m in 1.46.74 where Jakob won in 1.46.44. Filip also did 3.30.35 later that season.
I think Jakob could have done 1.15 in 2020. Bout now? I don’t know, but he is 2 sec faster in the 1500m…
