OK so you can run 29:06 and it is worth the same as 26:16, which must mean that the women’s world record of 28:54 gets you more WA points than the men’s, and furthermore you can run 30:44, which is 1:50 off the women’s world record and it is worth 27:12, which is only 1:01 off the men’s world record. So this proves the weakness of the women overall and also shows how absurd it is to place any stock in the WA point system.
The Men's WR gets you 1305 points. The women's gets you 1300. You just keep digging yourself deeper because your "X second differential from Galen Rupp's PB" calculation doesn't mean anything.
You are really stupid. So you get more points for the men’s world record BUT you can be way slower than the women’s world record, 30:44, meaning 1:50 slower, and get the same points (I am quoting you) as if you are only 1:01 off the men’s world record (27:12). So it is all nonsense and reflects the lack of depth in the women, so you have reinforced how I am correct to say the women are weak.

School starts soon kid. You've still got a lot to learn.

Maybe you should write to World Athletics about how their points tables are a bunch of crap and you should use the "1:40 over PB" calculation instead. I'm not saying they're perfect, but they're a hell of a lot better than your ad-hoc perplexity, and they're specifically designed to compare athletes across different events and genders.
World Athletics is run by morons. If you didn’t know that, you should have figured it out when they determined that having higher levels of testosterone as a “woman” was only an unfair advantage in middle distance events.

I don't know why people are downvoting this post. You're exactly correct. Their reasoning, I think, was that testosterone level wasn't correlated with performance at the other distances in the IAAF study on testosterone and performance. However, there weren't DSD athletes competing in those distances, so they didn't show up in the data set used in the study.

For one thing, they needed actual scientific studies so that it would survive the lawsuits, and those were the distances with the most data.
No way Beatrice Chebet would have won the marathon. One, she’s never run one. Two, Hassan is #2 all-time (2:13) and probably her best event, three, one of the greatest fields ever assembled, four, Olympic record, and five, she crushed that course on tired legs. So, no, Siffan Hassan would have won.
you’re over here calling her triple week. Have you even run one of the times she’s run (14:31, 30:43, 2:23)? And you’re over here bashing her triple. Not to mention she had to run an extra 5K heat and attend two award ceremonies in between during recovery. One of the best feats in running and Olympic history.
Siffan Hassan is the ONLY one in history who could have pulled off that triple. One-I’m-a-generational talent. Let me tell you why you’re wrong. Gudaf Tsegey has personal bests all faster than Siffan Hassan in the 1500m, 5K and 10K, attempted the same triple Siffan Hassan did in Tokyo (two golds and bronze) and failed to medal. Siffan Hassan tripled 5K, 10K and the marathon …
5K - takes on the world record-holder (Tsegey), the defending world champion (Faith Kipyegon) and the world #1 (Chebet) and earns bronze.
10K - takes on the world record-holder (Chebet) and the defending world champion (Tsegey) and earns bronze.
Marathon - takes on the defending Olympic Champ (Paris Chepchercher), the world record-holder (Aseffa … blanking on her first name), the New York Marathon Champ (blanking on her. Name … last name starts with an L) and the world #1 (Hellen Obiri) after already running against two of the most decorated fields in history and wins in a spring over the world record-holder in a new Olympic record.
Earring GOAT status is a lot more than just running fast - a combination of fast times and championship accolades - and Hassan tops the list. Not only does she have fast times from 800 meters (1:56) all the way to the marathon (2:13), but she shows at every championship (six Olympic medals). She’s already the GOAT at the age of 31 and could have at least one, if not, two more opportunities to add to that Olympic medal total. The GOAT. Case closed.

all hail siffan hassan. it was quite fitting how the olympics closing ceremony coincided with her medal presentation ceremony for the gold medal in the marathon. she was born in ethiopia but she runs for denmark. i wish i could run half as fast as her!
