3 years ago we were giving daily death counts. It was stronger and fewer people were vaccinated against it.

It has gone through mutations and variants and actually weakened to survive.

That said, if he made it public yesterday would there have been a movement to prevent him from racing?

I doubt he races tomorrow, but I assume he is allowed to.
