I remember when the wife of Ozzy Ozbourne and other women on some talk show laughed hysterically about male castration, and there were no consequences.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Russian and Ukrainian male conscripts are being blown up by drones in trenches every single day, whilst their wives and girlfriends sit about at home putting on their make-up and making TikTok videos.
There's also a clip of Sharon Osbourne, in 2003, practically sat on Travis Fimmel's lap as she tells the audience - amongst other things - about the size of his penis.
"Steve The Addict" was blunt about it above, but he's ultimately right when he says that people are more sensitive to slights against women. But I disagree about the 'double standard' being 'disturbing'. I, as a man, would be embarrassed if my sex was perceived to be too soft to handle half of what women are perceived to being too soft to handle. And I know a lot of women (probably the majority) find all this incredibly infantilising.
Plus the subtext is doing nothing to help stereotypes that'll negative impact women. Anyone pretending otherwise is deluded. I can guarantee most people who treated men and women in a similar fashion without a second thought back in 2015, no longer are.
