Hopefully Valby’s injury has settled down and she will give a noble showing, as she has to this point.
She’s injured?
This is my opinion, based on observation of her stride. I think she has been dealing with it for a while, and has developed compensatory mechanics, as a result, to gut through it.
In the latest Clayton Young training video Ed Eyestone claims she has scratched.
There were immediately one or two LRC threads started about the comments made in the video seeking more information that were deleted by the moderators.
What is going on and why are we not allowed to talk about it?
They were talking about the 5K. If you watched it, you should have been able to figure that out…

Parker Valby, 2024 Outdoor Natty’s 5000m (in which she broke another collegiate record.)

I want to clarify this is strictly my personal opinion, having no further public (or inside) information.
(Obviously, there is a lot of misinformation put out on this message board.)
I think Valby is the female version of Grant Fisher. He is not afraid to compete with the top Kenyans and Ethiopians and has earned their respect. Likewise, Valby runs to win. She might not but will make good account of herself trying. With that mentality I see her finishing in the top 10. Perhaps 7 or 8 given her warm weather advantages. Fisher and Valby are leading a new generation US distance runners. They might not make the podium but will make a good show of it trying. The future of US distance running is in good hands.

She could eliminate poverty, hunger, and win the Nobel Peace Prize and some turds would drag her for using ARC trainers and not running high mileage while accusing her of doping. That’s the kind of sh*tbirds that LRC actively encourages to generate clicks.
This right here! And it's why moderators have to get off their freedom of speech high horse and just start deleting stupid posts and unfounded drug accusations and turn this into an intelligent discussion message board.
Those idiots who are so harsh on people like Valby and Touhy are just losers going through boxes of tissues cleaning themselves off.
Valby is an Olympian. Tuohy is a prodigy who burned out. No comparison. Both nice people. Both nice careers. But no comparison when it comes to running. Like saying Grace Ping will make a team.

I think Tuohy physically developed earlier than other gals when she was in HS. But that advantage were slowly chipped away as other girls caught up to her in college. She is now just one of many who graduated and gone pro like Roe.

Which girls caught up to Tuohy in college? She is third fastest in the 5000m, and has the record for the 3000m.
You’re making stuff up, to discount her achievements.
You are too narrow in your way of thinking. Tuohy is a pro. So is Henes. So is Wayment. So is Schweizer. Tuohy was faster than dozens of American women in high school who are now faster than her as professionals. She is just another low level pro.

Valby is not an Olympian, she is on the US Olympic team. An Olympian is someone who has competed in the Olympics.
