Allie O is doing really well. I have loved her videos for years. It's a shame that one obsessed incel tries to hijack every thread about her and make ridiculous drug claims. This is why the internet is problematic.
Anyway, 9:37-9:32-9:24, I like the progression. Go Allie O!
She should be SUPER motivated now and truly believe she can make the team!
Well, she can realistically aim for sub 9:20 at the trials and sub 9:20 puts her in contention for top 6, maybe better. Go Allie!
Bro, do you know what happens to a female when they recover from an eating disorder that they've had since childhood? They go through the puberty that they never went through and finally get a period. What happens when you go through puberty and get your period? Your hormones change and often get hormonal acne that you never had before. She was clearly dealing with some serious insecurities with all of the changes her body was going through during ED recovery. I'm sorry, but you cannot fault her for wanting to deal with one less thing – especially since women's physical appearance is so relentlessly picked apart. She didn't know and went off the medication her dermatologist had prescribed to her immediately after she found out it was an issue. This is nowhere near the same situation as Shelby absolutely reaching with a tainted pork burrito claim.

Third at World Cross in U20=top class talent. (We still talk about Ritz getting 3rd at U20 WXC decades ago.) She was the #1 Kenyan in the race. Nice head-to-head matchup win for AllieO. Finally watched the race, and wow, P. Kosgei does have a very, arguably overly aggressive racing style. She was clipping at the heels of the runner leading unnecessarily earlier in the race, so much so that I thought someone was going to go down. She was on the outside of lane 1 when side-by-side with AllieO trying to hold her off, pushing Allie fully into lane 2, losing them both time.
AllieO also had a lot of seconds left in her running in lane two not only the last 2 laps that was already previously mentioned, but her first laps were also fully in lane 2. But I suppose that might be more common in a steeplechase than flat races because it's better to move out to get a clear view of the barriers.
I’m not gonna say her drug ban was warranted for PEDs usage but I do find it fascinating how a year ago allie was running ultra marathons and now is back to being one of the best steeplers in the country.
usually once someone does the ultra thing it zaps speed for the track… esp when pushing 30 as she is.

Because through her eating disorder recovery she realized she has a chance.

So, she’s going for it.
She’s literally BIGGER, STRONGER, FASTER.
Best she has ever been. And now she’s believing it.
Acne medication is banned only when it includes performance enhancers or "masking" agents. Pros will use PEDs that have other, medicinal uses as a cover for doping if they are to be exonerated because they say that it is solely for the legitimate use. Why do you celebrate a banned doper?
neI just saw the race. She pretty much ran the entire race in lane 2. That’s 7.7 extra meters per lap. Total of 53 meters for the 3000m (not Nordas level, but close). At 75s per lap pace, that’s 10 seconds. Did she just run a 9:14 for 3000m???? Maybe not, because she was on the outside of lane 1 for a little bit. For sure it was sub 9:20. She needs to be able to gage the hurdle from the rail with people in front of her. She cannot do this lane 2 stuff at the trials.
Her hurdles were better, but still a bit of work to do.

That was insane. She is in amazing shape.
She also needs to push OFF the water hurdle. Not just “touch” it, PUSH OFF it! I think she gains more time there as well.

She’s a sub-9:10 steeplechaser.
I know you’re saying that as a joke, but her last hurdle was awesome. She can hurdle well when her speed improves. There is also at least 1.5s to 2.0s if she improves the water jump by accelerating into it.
She does not have time to improve all that by the trials, but she would before the Olympics.

All she needs to do is qualify.
Isn’t great to be a keyboard coach?
Easy Tiger…
It’s obvious that if she PUSHES off of the water hurdles, she stops struggling in the water pit. Time saved.
TBH I never really bought her excuse for spironolactone.
It's one of the most hardcore diuretics on the market- you pee so much that you need regular bloodwork to make sure your potassium levels aren't getting out of whack.
She said she googled its effect on athletic performance, but I tried every combination of those words in multiple search engines and browsers, and every time the number one result was the WADA banned list.
