Won 3 of 4 Grand Slams in 2023 and lost in the finals in the other.
All while having long covid per the posters on Letsrun
8 tournament wins in the 13 Grand Slams he played in from 2020 to 2023. He would have been 10 for 15, but the idiots in Australia and the US prevented him from participating in 2022.
That makes no sense. If he had a 62% win rate in those tournaments he played, what makes you think he would have had a 100% win rate in tournaments he didn’t play?
And he prevented himself from playing those tournaments by not following the same rules that all the other players did.

He had won the Australian in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023 and has 10 titles there. There’s a very good chance he would have won in 2022.
US Open would have been more difficult to win.
I’d give him 9 of 15 if we are predicting what could have happened.
I'm not sure that Djokovic is done. He was hit on the head by a water bottle before his recent weaker performances. He's had down years before. But if he is down, you'd have to look back at that unannounced pre-match drug test at the Davis Cup Quarters last November where he led his Serbian teammates in refusing to be tested until after the matches. They knew they were glowing, I would guess, and needed a few more hours at least to get out of it. Only in tennis would they be allowed to refuse without sanction.
He hasn’t won his last major but he won’t have another year winning 3 of 4 ever again. Weirdos will tout whatever next major he wins as some big win for unvaccinated bums for whatever reason. Life goes on.

The rules were incredibly dumb. I admire him for sticking to his principles. No entry into the US without vaccination when 90%+ of people had already had Covid? And millions of Americans hadn't been vaccinated? It was ludicrous.
In terms of what's happening now, the man is 37. What do you think is happening?? Nadal is 37, formerly a great, and he's a basket case. Tennis players do not thrive at this age.
By the last half-hour of his 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 victory – which occupied a fraction over two hours – Djokovic was utterly dominant and placing the ball at will. The recent struggles which have seen him win a modest seven matches since the Australian Open were forgotten. Motivation might be an issue on the ATP Tour, but it returns quickly enough at a major.

Why do you copy and paste from articles without referencing them?

Yep. Not only that but we kept out one of the world's most healthy and fit males while thousands of background-unknown people poured across our southern border every single day.

Also not surprised he withdrew from this one. Was always weird when people pretended he is “the healthiest person on earth”.

I think Djokovic is a bit of a jerk, but the injury was due to poor conditions on the clay. The rain caused the top layer of the clay to be removed, leaving behind a more slippery surface without as much clay on it. Djokovic slipped on the clay and twisted his knee. He now has a meniscus tear. Could have happened to any player.
if he could’ve stayed healthy his GOAT status would be untouchable.
He’s going to have to put up with comparisons to Federer and Nadal simply because he did slightly better in a less competitive. Shame.
He’s still the GOAT. Most slam appearances and wins. Nothing left to prove. You can’t consistently beat 22-year old legs when you are 37+, even with the best drugs.
What Djokovic accomplished last year was legendary. He’ll play on through the Olympics, and he might try to win another slam, especially the Australian Open next year, but he’s within a year of retiring.
People act like he was going to be winning 3 of 4 slams at 40 years old. The fact that he played so well at 35+ is a testament to his greatness, as is his stance to not get coerced into taking a still experimental vaccine. Respect.

It’s funny too how people opined on LRC about his “mediocrity” in the match, not realizing he was playing through and aggravating a pretty hindering injury.

Correct! His last two matches were 5 set marathons where he outlasted opponents both in their 20's. That stupid dead gorilla keeps talking about his nonexistent "long covid."
