No idea who Scheffler was before this, but sounds like he's a rich jerk who thinks the law doesn't apply to him. Hope he gets serious charges and they stick.

Yep. His time is much more important than figuring out why some nobody pedestrian loser got killed by a bus. He'll get off without a slap on the wrist, and probably an apology from the police. Rich people suck.

That is not right. He is -4 right now. Currently tied for twelfth.
ESPN is reporting he did what players were instructed to do to navigate around traffic. They said he was driving a clearly marked tournament courtesy car, and those cars have priority.
I don't know what's going on in this country when the World's #1 golfer can be arrested for driving his marked PGA courtesy car -- as instructed -- into the PGA Tournament.
The ESPN reporter who witnessed it suggests it was a predawn misunderstanding that was escalated by the police.
How did the cop make a huge mistake? There was a fatality and an ongoing police investigation into it and Scheffler drove on the median around it.
Are you saying it’s standard police protocol to jump on a moving vehicle in that kind of situation?
We don't know exactly what the cop did but we do know what Scheffler did. He thought he could just ignore the police and drive around a fatality investigation on the median. He was too good to obey the police attending to the scene.

What do you not understand about a police investigation into a fatality? Can he skirt the laws anytime he wants?

If you are driving a PGA courtesy car you have carte blanche to break any traffic laws that you want?

Boy, you really are a piece of work. The police screwed up - not the first time or the last one either. But you are what is wrong with America.
