This sounds off to me. First off, I don't think getting 4th at Worlds, and running 12:52, would count as a devastating failure to him. Obviously there is frustration at being so close to a medal, but still...
As for the doping, I mean, come on - it wasn't a huge, mind-blowing shock. There are plenty of people who assume that ALL world-class runners are doping. Grijalva might be doping. Jakob might be doping. We really don't have enough information to say anything definitive about it, other than, a lot of elite runners are doping.
Saying Grijalva must have been "furious when he found out" Katir was doping is overdoing it, like saying Carl Lewis was furious when he found out that Ben Johnson was doping.

Who knows anymore. I watched him run a few times while he was with NAU. He’s extremely talented and even at fast pace looks like he’s barely exhibiting any effort. Remember watching him in a really fast 1500 at altitude and looked like he was jogging.
