Name all these better runners that were knocked out in the rounds. Montano had the 4th fastest time in the world coming in behind Niyonsaba, Semenya and Jelimo - all DSD. You might not like her but Alysia had to compete in an era when all of the top athletes in the event were dopers or non-female.
Go back and watch the Semis, if you take the 2 Russians out, you have no idea if one of those other 2 women that would have been promoted could have come in 3rd, Montaño's race was complete sh*t and unworthy of a medal. I say she still would have been 5th, possibly 4th but NO WAY 3rd.

In her CAS hearing, from the evidence of the McLaren report, she admitted to another Russian athlete (Stepanova) in using EPO during the lead up to the London Olympics. However, for some strange reason there's no ABP data on her at all...and of course no positive test from the samples taken at London:
OTOH, Savinova also admitted to Stepanova in the McLaren report using EPO, Anavar & GH peptides in the lead up to London. There's also positive test results from samples taken at the games. However, there's ABP data showing hematological anomalies for both London & Daegu a year earlier where she won gold at the WC.
You can look up Savinova's CAS hearing which goes into great detail on the McLaren report.
Not quite no ABP data, see for example here people talking about Poistogova's ABP data from McLaren:
In the comment of Dubai Marathon, under the generic name of "Letsrun", I read the following phrase, regarding Ruth Chepngetich : "Chepngetich is certainly a force to be reckoned with moving forward. According to tilastopaja.e...
There's no mention of a "normal" ABP profile from WADA's data base in her CAS hearing (nothing us even mentioned from McLaren?). Usually in CAS hearings involving PED use, the athlete's ABP, if there is one, is revealed whether or not it's normal (transparency reasons). It's almost like there wasn't any ABP data on her.
But it's a moot point since Poistagova admitted in McLaren that she used EPO, Anavar & some GH peptides as part of the Russian state-sponsored PED program. She should've had hose results already disqualified though CAS doesn't believe she was doped for the London games. Lol
Here's a good documentary on the whistleblower (Stepanova) who blew the whole program open:

In 2012 the statute of limitations was 8 years BUT if hadn't expired by the time the 10 year rule came in on Jan 1 2015 it could be extended to the new limit of 10 years.
If the case is started before the 10 years runs out there's no limit as to how long it can take. That stops athletes trying to run down time until a time limit expires.
In this case the case was started in Spring 2022, a few months before the 10th anniversary of London. The case was built on data from the LIMS database (Moscow Lab data). We won't know about that until they publish the full decision but it could be a "disappearing positive", forged ABP results or anything else.
Interestingly the case was listed by CAS as case CAS 2023/O/9505 World Athletics v. Russian Athletic Federation & Ms. Ekaterina Guliyev which means it was World Athletics who took it to court not the Russians
Secondly, if she had a hematological profile from her ABP in 2012, why isn't her chart presented in her CAS hearing? 🤔
Her teammate & stripped gold medalist from London, Savinova, has her ABP hematological chart in her CAS hearing. There were 28 blood samples collected from her between Aug/2009 & Dec/2015:

They need a bash-Russia story so bad they reach back 12 years for a retest. Okay.
Jelimo of course is totally clean. Faster than Caster but no eyebrows raised.
Joke is on this board though, full of yahoos who dissed AM's front-running style. Always out in 57. She laughs last.
I'll admit I wasn't her biggest fan at the time, but knowing now that she was basically competing with men and dopers almost exclusively, I've gained much respect
Shorter won the 1972 Olympic Marathon. It was in the 1976 Olympic Marathon that he was robbed by Waldemar Cierpinski. A better comparison would be Don Kardong who finished 4th in the 1976 marathon and should have been awarded the bronze medal.

For the umpteenth time JELIMO IS NOT A DSD ATHLETE
I have no idea how people concluded that she is DSD

Steroidal profiles were put together but not used for banning before 2014, just like haematological profiles were before 2009 (see for example Ramzi and Radcliffe). How could she not have had a haematological profile in 2012? The second part of your question is the more interesting one ("why isn't...")

Of course Jelimo is DSD. And it's very ironic that now that all DSD runners are banned from getting a medal in this year's competitions, that Jelimo can still get a medal from many years ago. Oh well. At least DSD athletes are banned going forward. The women's 800 is much more interesting now than it was during the unfortunate DSD period.
