Also Louis Luchini. 4:17, 9:04 in HS.
13:25 and 28:40 (20 years ago), plus 12th, 5th and 6th at XC Nats.
Ky's 7:36i, 13:11i, 27:44 and 8:32 are superior but Luchini did a lot, with arguably less, in a different era.

The 3k is a race regularly run indoors, there are constant opportunities for an assault on that record if the greater running community wished to do so. 3k outdoors is more of a rarity. I think his 7:20 is mind bogglingly ludicrous, but lets be real, so is 7:24 if you think about it. Komen obliterated both records, but I'm pretty sure the indoor one was by quite a bit more.00
