Yes. This thread sucks; the grammar, the content, the verb conjugation, the stupid abbreviations... it is not great, even by Let's Run standards.
Connor Burns is still a kid (and immature). He does things that a lot of us would not do, like talk smack about people we don't know, make dumb social media posts, and "play the villain." Assuming he grows out of it in the next year or two, then it is no reason to hate him. If he doesn't grow out of it, then yes, he is in fact an a**hole (which some adults are, sadly).
As far as his talent as a runner, he is in the 1% of the top 1%. That is just a mathematical fact. So can you please stop saying, "he's a chump" and "he sucks." That is nonsense. He's a superstar.
p.s. Messing up the laps is something that happens now and then. Didn't Chelimo and Lopez Lomong both do it about four years ago? And those races were on a 400m track!

I actually agree with you 100%. If I were the parent or close friend, there would have been some serious conversations. But I also understand that some parents are from the "kids are just messing around" school of thought and they don't see it as we do. They just assume he'll grow out of his jack-assery. I hope they are right. But if he doesn't, then he just goes on to become a grown man who is a jerk.
p.s. I am referring to his attitude and lack of humility. Considering how quickly elites can be injured and out of the game, he should not get too cocky now. He is one serious injury away from being "washed up." Pride goeth before the fall.
