Tuohy will win and win convincingly

Do you know what that word means? Vegas has Valby as the heavy favorite. The over/under is 20.5 seconds over Tuohy.

I still think holding the course record and knowing where potholes, etc. are IS an advantage, however. That, and Tuohy knows the tangents. (I watched the South Regional, and Valby STILL struggles with tangents).

I like honest and true votes before the match. And I think it's Valby 's moment. I don't think her margin of victory will be large and will have company at the finish but I think Valby will win.

Hopefully Touhy and Valby get 2nd and 3rd and Letsrun will go home devastated.

Would someone please explain to me why the women only run 6k?? Are they too fragile?

That is the distance that they want. Why do the men run 10K? Why not 6K? Why not 12K?

I can't wait for Valby to win so that we can get rid of some posters. I doubt that they will stick to their promises though.

Last year, I said I believed Tuohy would win.

This year, I am saying Valby will win. Her win at Nuttycombe was convincing, and her win at Regionals shows she's not slowing down.

She's in fantastic shape. So I think she's going to get it. But anything can happen, and only a fool would count Katelyn Tuohy out.

I was willing to bet my life savings on Tuohy last year. I'm not willing to bet that on Valby.

I’d give the slight edge to Valby this year. Tuohy could definitely still win, but Valby has had a standout season.

Her margin of victory was very small at regionals. On a very easy short course. I'm amazed everyone is missing the obvious fact that she simply started the season way too fast. Just like last year

I love the confidence. Any insight why she lost at Nuttycombe? Was she just in a training block, bad day, etc?

Any dark horse candidates? Would be interesting if Valby, the Alabama Duo, and Touhy go out too hard and implode. Who would be the most likely to take advantage of that?

I don't think that will happen, but I think the next tier is Chmiel/Stearns/Maatoug/ Ramsden/Mitchell. Mitchell as an individual might chase harder than most - she tried at Nutty.
