I feel like having an erection while running would only hinder your performance. Why is this something you desire? Are you training for some kind of new Erection Mile event that I've never heard of?

It's not your ability to vasodilate. If you are running long distance at a good clip, you do not have significant enough vascular disease to cause your ed.
It's declining testosterone levels with age coupled with excess physical stress and caloric deficit causing low T.
You already have the answer as you know what works. Now you just have to prioritize what you value more.
Switch to a different club if the girls aren't hot where you workout, or train at times when the hottest girls are around. I make sure to do my intervals every Thursday evening when the 800m gals are doing their's. Some real Keely and Femke lookalikes among them.
I'm 45 years old and it's difficult for me to maintain an erection when I'm doing my usual training. But I find that, if I take just one or two days off running and eat a little extra, that I can then maintain my erections much more easily. Does this happen to anyone else? Any suggestions? Thanks.
I could train less or eat more on a daily basis but I would prefer to not do this.
Private time. Use memories from your highlight reel of romances. Those can get blood pumping.

This totally happens to me on a hard training day (or a sufficient series of accumulated regular days). The other thing does not get as hard. I don't want to say I dread it when the missus wants some action on a hard training day (or after enough regular days), but definitely need to do other things on those days besides the regular.
I have the same remedy with rest days, or making sure I get plenty of sleep. After talking it over with my doctor and ruling out any health problems as the cause, I also have a prescription for The Pill that I can use on those days if I want to. It feels a little dumb to have that prescription for convenience, essentially, but relationship health is an important thing.
