I got a report from a runner there. He said that the weather was very favorable for running. So not the usual late September heat you could expect there.
Much as I like ultras and appreciate Camille's effort, can't support a black page for a "simple" course record, especially when two other people broke it in the same race.

Obviously the black page request was an ironic take on things here on letsrun. There is nothing better than reading posts from some track kids on how slow world class ultrarunners are.
No offense to Jurek, but I think these ultras (including WS100) were both quite a bit less competitive back in his day.
The records at this kind of race are generally going to be less competitive in depth than say a Comrades or UTMB (which are more hotly contested ultras).
While I agree that Spartathlon is less competitive than UTMB or Comrades, it is still usually one of the most competitive road ultra in Europe (possibly, the most prestigious road ultra for europeans ultra runners). Not a second-tier obscure race.

This is what these kids worship: Dork running. Super dork commenting.

How did Scott Jurek manage to win both, multiple times?

As far as Camille goes....she has multiple records at 100-miles to 24 and 48 hours on roads/track/flat trails etc. I really doubt she would do anything dishonest (she is also very strong anti-doping). Looks like she ran really well in good conditions. Congrats! With that in mind, I'm not surprised she took down the record by such a large margin.

The Spartathlon is the most competitive long ultra on roads there is. Comrades would be the other one. UMTB is it now for trails. The Americans lost their advantage very quickly once UMTB got started.

I'm not sure Americans lost their advantage. American women have dominated UTMB, including winning the last 4. And now they hold men's and women's course records.

I meant that the American 100 mile organizers lost their advantage. I agree US women have always done great at UTMB.

Have great respect for you Sage, but this is not entirely accurate. Spartathlon has always been one of the most competitive road ultras, the only one that is more competitive is Comrades. Also, the course records were incredibly hard to break, just like all of Kouros' records - most of which stood for 40 years until the advent of super shoes.
Having said all that, it would be great to see you racing in Greece, following the steps of Pheidippides. Both the Athens Marathon and Spartathlon are great (but tough) races. Great place to take a recovery holiday afterwards too.

All the best.
Sorry, but Sage can't even handle 100 miles. These are 150+.

Agree. On top of that, Herron constantly bashes and calls into question everything that Ashley Paulson does, due to a single drug test from 8 years ago that USADA determined was from a contaminated supplement. Since then Paulson has always tested clean and smashed records in major events including Badwater this year (and beat all the men as well). But Herron has to tear down, almost like she can't accept the thought of another woman being a successful ultrarunner.
Amd Paulsen has admitted cutting courses in half marathons, only after being pulled up on it of course.
Congratulation to Camille on her outstanding course record and victory at Spartathalon. Camille has, even compared to someone like Paula Radcliffe, terrible running form, which makes her record-breaking runs even more impressive. According to Camille (2018 Runners World): "I was born with my right femur and arm anteverted (twisted inward). I can’t push off hard on my right leg, so I can’t produce much power for a fast 5K. But I developed a super-efficient shuffle that works great at long distances and protects me from injuries." I think that Camille struggles on the trails, including Western States, because of her running form. Spartathalon is a small (capped at 400) rather non-competitive event, but Camille's victory at Comrades in 2017, after she collapsed near the finish and ended up in the emergency room in 2014, was world class. Comrades usually has around 20,000 entrants.
This guy is right there should be another website promoting this crap about trail walking maybe let’sjog.com or trail walking.com I mean super boring s…
Comrades is a different race now for the women, Camille will always be a Comrades champ but now it’s just too fast for her with quicker runners moving to the ultras currently it’s a 2:25 marathon lady who has smashed all the records what would a 2:18 woman do at Comrades?
