12:59 for Ethiopia’s Gebrhiwet for the win with McDonald coming in 7th in 13:26.
Top American? Olin Hacker in 14th with a 13:36.

In the women’s:
Kelati placed a respectable 7th in 15:10 (bummer, as she was 8:54 at 3k, only 1 second behind the leaders). But, she held on, running in “no man’s land” by herself for the rest of the race.
Beatrice Chebet won the race in 14:35!
NOTE: Two pretty decent ‘lil hills over the bridges, not a world record friendly course.
And ofc this is Batocletti so her PB is Italy's NR (often).
BTW. Kelati's 15:10 is the US NR? So slow mark? (not tracking US female times and records apart from Addison "Addy" Wiley)
Is there some kind of team score?
Wiley probably wants a super tactical race considering her 1:57 speed is among the fastest in the field.

I think this must be the women's-only record. Molly Huddle has run 14:50 in a mixed race.
World Athletics also listed Olin Hacker's 13:36 as the men's national record and I have no idea why. Ben True has run much faster at the BAA 5K.
Addy gets special introduction!
Jeez Kipyegon gonna thrash em
WOW!
Kipyegon THROWING down the hammer right from the gun and putting the HURT on everyone!
There is a big gap between the top-4 women and the chase pack. WOW.
A new star
Great pacing Kipyegon !
Kipyegon loses!!!!
First defeat of the year for Faith.
Wow Kipyegon defeated
Everyone who has lead the majority of the race has been beaten the final straight. Lol
Confirmation : Faith is human
Alright come on Hobbs. All those road miles you’ve ran for this moment! Let’s bring that medal home to USA!
