In 2008 RGIII took third in that NCAA 400HH, that Baylor 4x1 team made the finals, no RGIII on the team. If he had speed he'd be on that team. Tons of hurdlers on 4x1's

RG3 would have been an Olympic medalist if he'd continued with track.
No he wouldn't have been, where you getting that from?
Graduated a semester early from high school to enroll at Baylor in January of 2008 to compete in spring football drills...NCAA All-American in the 400-meter hurdles, placing third with a time of 49.46...Clocked a career-best time of 49.22 to win the Big 12 Outdoor Championships...The time ranks as the third-fastest in Baylor history...Won the NCAA Midwest Region title with a region record time of 49.53...Competed in the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, finishing 11th overall with a time of 49.38.
I am not sure where you are coming down on this. Nothing is guaranteed, but he certainly seems to have been on a path to medal.
He quite possibly would have been a medalist or at least a top 5 or 6. That 11th in the Trials was when he should have just graduated from high school as an 18 yr. old. He certainly could have been a 47. guy by 2012 or 2016 (still only 26).
All you are doing is guessing, the guy never really did anything that hinted at Olympic medalist. He never beat a world class hurdler.
Yes we are guessing in a way but you seem pretty dismissive. How many 18 year olds ever get to run against a world class athlete? (Not many).

I do think that Tyreek Hill could've had sub-9.8 potential if he had never started playing football.
Really? I doubt he would be that fast without football...
Football practice, for skill position players, involves a lot of short sprinting. A running back, wide receiver, or defensive back runs many 10 and 15 meter accelerations and sprints at every practice. It's awesome preparation for track season.
Most high schools without football programs STRUGGLE in sprints and jumps in the spring.
He said all the listed fast current Miami Dolphin players had a track background but they 'weren't fast enough to make it to the Olympics".
I believe that is true. Look at the best times that those Miami players actually ran in any event, and those times would not have been fast enough to make the US Olympic Team at the most recent Olympic Trials for that event.
I believe he was not talking about speculation regarding whether or not they had the speed talent to potentially run fast enough to make the Olympic team had they not pursued football, he was talking about their actual track PBs.
And he was not talking about all those other former or other pro football players that did actually make an Olympic team, or had actual personal best times that were faster than what was run at the Olympic Trials by those who qualified. He was only talking about the current Miami Dolphin players.

How many 400m hurdlers double in the 4x1?
How many 400hurdlers are beating Mostert and Achane in a 100m?
If we're talking track speed in the NFL, Devon Allen returned a kick for the Eagles Monday night. He may be the only one that has Olympic caliber speed right now.
No one thinks current nfl players are at Olympic levels of speed. What most nfl know is that a lot of nfl guys could do very very well in track IF that focused on that. Pretty simple. We rarely see a stud football player choose track. That’s why Knighton’s decision to go the track route was so surprising. He was a legit, big time, football prospect. A lot of these track guys that play football aren’t really any good at football. Knighton was the first one that really took the other route. There are many guys tho that if they would of focused on track out of HS then they’d be pro sprinters instead of being in the nfl. but the US already has most the fastest guys so it doesn’t matter. Now if you took nfl athletes and they were raised playing soccer then the USA would dominate that sh!t lol.
