I sometimes wonder if this guy is actually playing chess while we're all playing checkers.
Is he playing this "Simple Jack" type character just to get clicks?
I’ll take ‘things that never happened for $200 Alex.’

I was up in NY yesterday for some business meetings and decided to do an early morning run in the park and i ran into this guy:
If only I'd run with my phone, I could prove it. When I asked who was a better 1500 prospect for gold in 2024 - Kerr or Wightman, he said, "Ingebrigtsen baby."
I was momentarily taken back and said, "Aren't you supposed to root for your own subjects in the Olympics?" He said, "Do you know how stifling it is to have the randomness of your birth control everything about you - where you live, what your job is, etc. It's so refreshing to just pick my own sports fandom. I'm a HUGE fan. Plus I'm allowed to root for Norwegians as we are family. Their king is my cousin. King Herald's great grand parents Edward and Alexandra are my great-great-great grandparents."
Very cool rojo

The Prince would have been calling security to apprehend you and you likely would have spent the night in jail. Your one phone call would have been instead a crowdsourcing post: “Help me get out of jail,” maybe posted under one of your aliases.
No, the thread title would be something like: "Unbelievable: Guy gets beaten up by security for running after Prince William and shouting Kerr or Wightman, Who Ya Got and it was me"

Rojo are you being serious or just trolling? I honestly can’t tell.
So on a day in New York with the temps well into the 70s, the Prince went "jogging" in street clothes, including a sweater over a collared shirt? Uh-huh. I'll buy that for a dollar. More likely he ran -and I use the word loosely- a few strides for a concocted photo op.
This reminds me of a newspaper photo from the 1970s that showed New York City's then-mayor, Abe Beame, out for a "morning jog." He was pushing 70 at the time, and was no athlete. The photo was subsequently widely discredited, and the mayor's flacks then backtracked and said that the pol "took a brisk walk" every morning.
I bumped into Bob Glover Sunday morning in Bronx.

Would've preferred to hear his response to "Some final words on Sir Farah's career?"
People, the original post was a joke. This thread has been closed to new posts.
