Rojo is whining, but the (lack of) value of his opinion shouldn't depend on how many hours of volunteering he does. With a functioning govt. that cares for citizens, paying taxes should be enough. I get that govt. doesn't actually function well, by design and or ineptitude, and that e.g. in Maui volunteers are doing more than officials, but that's part of Rojos complaint. It is, however, a misguided complaint about a small, well-deserved benefit that's got good value as PR for the Kenyan govt.

Do you expect him to become a safe streets (violence mediator, "former" drug dealers and gang members) worker? Or to become a squeegee worker and "work" for free?
