You are humorously correct in many ways...but Sage currently ranked #5 in world 800, and was 2nd in 800 overall diamond league 2022. Joe can only dream of those happening for him. Sage has just run poorly at usatf meets and probably 1500 is her better distance. See how she does Tonite at 1500.

Well she sucked tonight. Middle of the pack with not so great runners up front. she and Andrews are the sore spot on this questionable team
OAC Melbourne is basically anyone they can get, and so far that's nobody. Latest additions are Ed Trippas, and Zach Facioni.

OAC has had huge success this past year. If they pay their athletes more for earning national records, Commonwealth games victory, etc. - I think it's better to pay their successful athletes more, rather than sign on more people. Just my opinion. I mean, I'm sure their athletes are getting bonuses for setting national records, right?
Sage was actually an NCAA champion and I think the only female athlete to be AA all years on cross for CU? I'm not sure if she'll be top-class in the 800, but she's not on OAC just because of Joe. She would have found a team somewhere.
I know this may be controversial, but the 800 is just less interesting without Mu and the DSD athletes on the circuit. I know everyone likes Keely, but take away her attractiveness and then who cares? And does think NIL makes the pro ranks less interesting too?

Late season she shuttered the U18 world best for this distance - 6:07,72 ( no pacing, 2nd km 5 seconds faster as the first one ). Then deciding to focus for 800m/1500m next years.
National 800m indoor champ 2023 2:03,71 - beating Istanbul finalist and sub 2 runner Majtie Kolberg. Unfortunately she has cancelled the outdoor completely because of a complicated stress fracture.
If her last name sounds familiar for somebody - she is the daughter from former 3000m european champ Damian, but was coached from her mother before.
