Rumor was Rose was a finalist for the Portland State Job. It's only a matter of time before he lands on something big. UCLA should take a serious look.
I'd guess Priscilla Bayley, former Calpoly XC head coach would be a great fit. Experienced and single handedly managed the Calpoly program when the late Mark Conover was sick. She is a good coach with a solid resume.
I Think Rose is further along and more plugged into things as he is coaching at the moment- but Bayley brings her husband AKA All-American and National English Champion Dr. Tim. That's two for the price of one. Rose could be in trouble.
The womens team has tons of potential if they can stay together they could realistically make it to nationals. The athletic department doesn’t want them to succeed that should be there greatest motivation to win.

Well brasman was a high school coach before ucla hired him so doesn’t seem crazy to heir a person who has actually worked with college age athletes!

You hire a young, developing coach that has the energy to push the program and energize their team. It is not a position designed for experienced coaches. The admin has shown everyone that they are not equipped to handle a high profile distance program. They want passive success.
