I haven't followed this story but I don't believe we have been visited by aliens from a different planet.
It makes sense that you don't believe it, because we haven't.
There are, and always have been, certain people who seem compelled to live their life engrossed in these fantasies. No different than believing in Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster.
The term is unidentified flying object for a reason.
I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but your stories are hardly compelling. Optical illusions are particularly prevalent in twilight and nighttime and especially common under stressful situations like war.
As an example, see the account of a moving armored column in Generation Kill.
Put simple, your sensory information is not reliable. Even if everyone agrees on what they’re seeing. Objective measurements and telemetry data show this over and over again.
Anyone who believes in stupid stuff like this does not understand basic physics. Relativity theory and quantum mechanics make interstellar travel impossible by corporeal beings.
This leaves the supernatural. Then all bets are off and you might as well imagine angels dancing on the heads of pins
So you notice a bright glow in the shy looking like a bright glow in the sky all of a suden it starts zipping around looking just like a hummingbird, this was a common occurance in Viet Nam during the war, and all of us over there were seeing it,
So what was it? This was no plane of any kind, so....????
You have a very egocentric view of the universe, don't you Deno?
So what does a bright orb darting around the skies unlike anything we have suggest to you?
This was a real big deal over there everybody was seeing these things, and there was no explanation for them and there never will be.
Real easy to see.....not of this planet.,
To think we are it there is nobody else out there but us is ridiculous. The galaxy is how big? And all this,,,,,,well they coudn't......that is earthman couldn't, they must play by a different set of rules.

Extra terrestrial life probably exists somewhere. The universe is really big. No, they haven’t visited us. Anyone who could visit us wouldn’t. Human beings are very self centered to think that 4th dimension aliens or aliens that can travel at light speed would care about a planet lead by Joe Biden.
There you stand on look out on the the starboard side, all of a sudden out of nowhere there is a bright object hovering overhead, all you can make out is bright lights, after a few seconds it zips off unlike anything you have ever seen except.,,,,,,,,,,,,a hummingbird. And this is no hummongbird. Here this thing is darting around then zoom gone.
Now keep in mind everybody in Nam was seeng the same thing, so,,,,,,,,,what was it?

Deno, wasn't there a lot of those psychedelic/hallucinogenic drugs floating around over there in Vietnam during the war, with our troops?
Being in the navy over there was a lot fifferent than what the Army guys were doing., actually a whole different deal. All we did was float around shooting off illuminious shells at night so our ground forces could see. 30 says on the line, two weeks to refuel and R&R, six months of that rountine, they back home for three monts then gone again, four years of that routine. Yep, a Shellback.
Get where you are going with that but there is no doubt these things were out there like I said I saw a few as did everyone.

Top secret surveillance drone thingies? Hell, I don't know. I just don't believe the extra-terrestrial stuff. What's going on all around me is strange enough, and too much so, frankly.
It's not about believing the exra terrestial stuff it's about standing there watching a bright orb zip around the skies unlike anything other than what a hummingbird can do.
