Certainly a baited post. Josh has fire, he ran 3.30.0 in a season opener recording his second best performance ever and he is a proven championship performer.
I think he'll be ok and in the mix.

Why not gamble and say he'll medal? You don't believe in the strength of the '3:27' man himself?

It's possible he just knows when to peak and go all-out. Still, for someone who chooses to race like that. He SHOULD NOT try to play the Jakob Charisma. Because even though he was a Bronze Medal, a majority (If not all) of his wins in races tend to be against sub-elite or guys with PBs less than his own. Even his great 3:48 Indoor Mile was pretty much setup for him to win it.
Regardless, if him settling for 3rd or 5th is a 'win'. I don't really consider him a 'winner'.
Mr. 3:27 would-be
Meh, having characters to root for or against makes for much more interesting viewing in my opinion, and it clearly works on you as you can't stop writing about him. There are way too many bland athletes out there who clam up in front of the camera and say some variation of "I'm just going to give it my best" or even worse when they sandbag and say "I've not had an ideal preparation but I'm hoping to get a decent time tonight". If a 3:29 olympic medal winner isn't allowed to show a bit of charisma and hype up a race then who is? I'd much rather he come out and say he's fighting for a win at WC than say "Oh... I don't know, I'd like to get a season's best and possibly place 6th or 7th ideally."

I guess I write about him because of what he said about American 1500m Runners and now he's experiencing that decline from his 2021-22 climax. Can he run 3:28-3:29 again? Maybe. But I mainly get on him because he always had some sort of superiority complex against other brooks athletes like Spencer (The Athlete Special). Sure TAS can be cringy and isn't necessarily elite in terms of footspeed. But, getting a bronze medal/running a faster time shouldn't resort to being condescending. Now he knows what it feels to get humbled.

He still didn't finish in 3:27 high. 1/10 nice for a troll.
Atleast Ingebrigtsen is consistent. Getting silver two years in a row.
