its like she peaked a couple months ago and never realized it. I honestly thought it was over after the first two laps as Im sure so many others did. the bigger question is does this keep her at NC State longer? especially if she is underwhelming in the 5K also?
yup. im guessing the way she periodized over the past 10 months was not the right formula for her. Whatever she did going through cross and into indoor works for her.
for most people, truly peaking 3x in a year does not work. if tuohy and henes didn't know she was peaked in march, well, now they know

Yeah and is she going to be ready for the 5k at USATF?
Honest effort rule please....Saving it for the 5k. Good thing she didnt drop out.
Actually, like a few other athletes, men and women, they are tired from last fall and too much indoor racing. Hit that Texas heat/humidity in June after that long drive from last fall and you can whither away.
can someone do a welfare check on fastuohy and astro to make sure they are ok?
Have to admit, I wanted Tuohy to win, but in the hours leading up I figured a loss'd be okay just to so those two knocked down a few pegs.
And 64 is fast under 92 degree heat while attempting to lead start to finish against a field like that. Bold strategy, didn't work out. Kudos to Ramsden and all!
She is, but this shows that she can't handle the rounds....she can't run that fast with multiple races close together, and she can't run that if she isn't controlling all of the tactics perfectly.
katelyn tuohy races the womens 1500m at the finals, she ends up getting 6th in the race as she took it out and exuasted herself. #ParkerValby#Kaitlen Touhy, ...
So, does Valby push the pace early? It seems this is the perfect setup for her front running. Punish the 10k runners doubling back and bury KT early. Of course, we don't know how healthy PV is. But if she is, it would behoove her to make it a hard race.
Tuohy wanted to show Faith Kipyegon's who's the boss and tried to break her new 1500 world record of 3:49.11 so she started out like a bat out of hell and paid for it at the end.
