It's not hard to imagine a virus that has various impacts on patients regardless of health may have long-term impact on even healthy patients.

Persistent symptoms long after the acute phase of illness has ended are not unique to Covid. It happens a lot with Epstein Barr Virus (aka “mono”), Coxsakie Virus (aka “Hand Foot Mouth Disease”), Lyme Disease, and even the flu. Most people recover and that’s the end of it, but some people don’t. The big difference with Covid is that its new to humankind and extremely contagious and the majority of all humans on Earth became infected with it in a period of a couple years. If half of all humans on Earth were infected with Lyme Disease all at the same time today, you’d see a lot of people still struggling after several months. They’d call it “Long Lyme.” Same with mono. It happens. It’s just that with Covid it’s happening to so many people all at the same time.

Disease and sickness are a physical symptoms of psychological issues. Even COVID.

The Western world is too mentally weak to handle dificult factory work so they exported those types of jobs to China. As a part of the trade deal, China sent COVID to the West.

Now the snow flakes who found out long COVID could be an excuse for being productive, even in their cushy air conditioned Starbucks world, they are believing it into existence.

Statistics show long COVID is closely correlated with increased social media activity, higher sugar consumption, and manic self pleasuring.

Seriously. I mean I'm sure there's a few people who suffer lingering impacts for months after Covid just like a few do after the Flu. But it's a tiny number and nothing like what was advertised. And almost no one suffers years later. The long Covid thing was blown way out of proportion. I know tons of people who got Covid. No one died and no one got long Covid.

If you want facts, why is your dumb ass seeking answers from subjective humans? There's a thing called a search engine.

Here's a great peer-reviewed paper on the mechanism's of Post Acute Sequelae (PASC or Long Covid). A bit technical...but you can get the gist. The real question if not whether PASC exists. It's more what to do about it.

Long-term illness following Covid infection is definitely real, but I wouldn't call it "Long Covid". In the infectious disease community the term "post viral illness" has been around for ages, and it describes the lingering fatigue you have weeks or months after the initial infection has passed through the system. It's an over-reaction of the immune system. Some people have lingering fatigue after the flu. The reason we are seeing it more now with Covid is because it's a virus. Therefore, it's not specifically "long covid" but rather "post-viral illness".

I'm bumping this thread with a clinical trial I just saw this morning. It shows that curcumin reduces inflammatory markers related to covid in subjects who have 1) had covid and 2) have been vaccinated. The subjects took 500mg of curcumin twice a day for 4 weeks.

For those with long covid or who suspect vaccine damage, this is worth looking into. Here is the study. Note: The study doesn't prove that curcumin helps, but if I had lingering symptoms that might be related to long covid/vaccine, I'd probably give it a try for four weeks.

They let the television set, their friends, peers, friends, co-workers who, also watch the television set, think for them and took these poisonous shots. My take from someone who has done a little research but has no medical experience is that long Covid is no different than certain lasting conditions some get after a bout with Flu. Yes it is a real thing but is no different than lasting symptoms people often experience from other illnesses. Like all things Covid it just got hyped to max so people were terrified of it as if it were some scary new thing to add to the general hysteria.

I have never seen any study that shows that is more common or severe than symptoms that some people experience after getting the seasonal flu. I'm sure you'll find some people on this board who will claim long Covid is a terrible crisis and they know dozens of people suffering from it and other who claim they no know no one who got it.

Been following this thread for a while...is there a way to quantifiably prove the existence of Long Covid - the number of claimants is not - it I'm talking about real physiological variables that defy the logic that once a virus is cleared from your system the effects begin to reverse
