My negative thoughts about Shacarri are no secret, but she’s no drug cheat. Weed does absolutely nothing positive for your running, mostly just negative in fact. You can’t focus, the acute and chronic lung harm is obvious, and your mind body connection goes out the window, turning your head or standing up too quick will make you dizzy/nauseous let alone sprinting on a track.
Run either a mile or 100m all out, recover, and then do it again after smoking a bowl. If you can come within 15 seconds of your mile time or 1 second of your 100m time I’ll Venmo you 100 bucks.
this nonsense again. its both a masking agent and a ped. it helps you relax and recover and is anti inflammatory. its a ped. obv it isnt if you take it five minutes before a race so dont be stupid.
oh, and roger bannister.
It makes you slow and lethargic. Absolutely not the shape and mindset required for sprinting.
There will never be a time a woman's time/mark is that big a deal in track and field, knowing high school boys can better it.
Jesus Deno. If you ever wonder why the girls don't look your way, come back to this post.
BTW Gaby's 21.60 and Sherricka's 10.65 is vastly more impressive than anything a male sprinter did this weekend.
As for Sha'Carri, I was blown away with her first round 200m performance. But in the final, she showed once again that if she feels challenged in a race she doesn't have it (yet) to compete. Gaby ran her down and ran away from her on the straight away and rather than fight to the line, Richardson eased up. If she wants to have a shot at a medal at Worlds she has to realize that she won't be blowing the field away. The 100m and 200m finals will be dog fights.
Except...Jackson just ran 10.65 leaving Dopey devasted.
I ran Jacksons and Shacarri's times through the wind/altitude converter. Jacksons time is a 10.71 basic and Shacarri's is a 10.72 basic. So both are still pretty close. It depends on when they run their best which favors Jackson. Both might be able to go 10.5 but Richardson might do it first round while Jackson would do it in the finals lol.
Elaine didn't even make the team this year. Shelly hasn't run a single 100 this year. Sha'Carri will go up against Shericka Jackson. I'd bet on Shericka, but head to head, they had similar stats until Shericka's 10.65 the other day. Head-to-head, Sha'Carri's beaten Shericka a couple of times and the reverse is always true.
I'd bet on Shericka because I've bet against her before and it was a big mistake that I don't care to repeat. Betting against Sha'Carri can be more fruitful at times. But if Sha'Carri runs like she did this weekend (especially in the heats), she's getting a medal, and a gold isn't out of the question.
Worst take ever. In half of all races, it seems like the men are dicking around while the women are serious. If you'd rather watch Bryce Deadmon vs. Vernon Norwood than Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone vs. Britton Wilson because men's times are faster, I don't know what to tell you.
She reached a deal to miss the Olympics ? What fringe website did you scissors and paste this from ?
Dailyrumour.com, or Weeklygossip.net.
Do you even realise that despite the so-called infraction, she was eligible to run the 4x 1 relays ? US track and field decided otherwise because it felt allowing her run would send the wrong message. But they emphatically confirmed she was eligible to run.
