Didn't Gabby start out as a 400M runner while at Harvard? The first time I saw her was running an indoor 400M while at Harvard.

Given the load of the college season, you can write off Diggs and Wilson being factors at the global level competitions. I suspect Gabby won't be concentrating on the 400M much and this was a one off to make up the form she lost coming back from injury.

Gabby never ran an open 400m in college. She did the 4x400 a lot. Maybe you're thinking of 300m races? She previously said that the 300m is her favorite race.

But her freshman year, she predominantly was a 60/200/LJer (she does have some TJ marks too). She ultimately dropped the jumps, but she is still in the conference record books for her LJ marks.
