Agree with all you said. I’m not really a Willy fan, per se, but she’s been through a lot and doesn’t deserve the pure hatred that gets dumped on her every week. So, if speaking up for the unfairly maligned makes me overzealous, then I’m guilty.

Addy is an adult. She needs to be asked tougher questions than some boring interviewer asking her about her training.

You are damn right I do. It is laughable to claim otherwise. Not that the IQ of people who follow this sport is impressive. What other sport comes up with drivel like magic running genes and late bloomer genes to explain obvious doping?

You can't ban an athlete based on generalized guilt. It has to be individual to that athlete.

If Addy Wiley can answer questions and speak out against the other victims like she did in this disgusting piece of news, she can certainly answer tougher questions than what Runnerspace asked. She’s an adult and has made adult choices and those choices include sticking with an utterly tainted program and coaches that have abused their positions.

Now she's a late bloomer? The kid that ran 2:10 and 4:46 a few months after she began racing?

According to Milesplit that 4:46 is the #15 all time 1600 for a freshman. At the time it was #11.

It was also the #1 1600 for her freshman class which included Juliette Whittaker, Natalie Cook, Roisin Willis, and Dalia Frias. Also in the class was Jenna Hutchins who ran a faster mile.

All six of these fellow freshmen set all time marks as juniors and seniors. It was not just Wiley who showed remarkable improvement.

This improvement was across the board and is also seen in the four freshmen who have since run faster including the top two all time at 4:33 and 4:40. Three of them are in the 2025 class and set their marks last year while Wiley's class was setting all time records.

Correct! These times are exceptional for any 9th grade BOY who just began running. Another young female besides the ones you cited was Touhy!

AW can and has answered tougher questions. I don't know what was disgusting about the article cited, though. Is it disgusting because she didn't see what some people wanted her to see? Should she lie to not be disgusting?
