I thought about this but this is a simple question a lot of people want to know the answer for without having to delve into all the theater of that thread. Your screen name shows how you have a score to settle. I was hoping to avoide all of that by posting a simple question.
Thought about doing it anonymously because so many people struggle to discuss anything related to politics without becoming a it unhinged but why should I need to hide my name from posting an obvious question.
The best I could find from googling so far is "A sealed indictment an indictment that is sealed so that it stays non-public until it is unsealed."
Doesn't really answer the question. We're now 20+ posts in and no one seems to know the answer so it's a good question.
In one sense it's a simple question with a simple answer, "We don't know the charges because the indictment is sealed."
Indictments are sealed for various reasons and it's not at all uncommon.
So we're left with speculation as to why the indictment is sealed. I would guess that the very real possibility of public violence if felony charges are announced is a big part of it.
