Ok, you think these past 6 months are an inflection point for him. I’d say that’s an absurd opinion when in his last race he DESTROYED the world record. Let’s talk about time catching up to him after he has a mediocre run, not after the fastest marathon in history.
A few of us are able to see it before it happens. We are almost never embraced. You shall see it soon.
I suppose if you say it enough times, sooner or later you have to be right.
Taking the oh so controversial position that a 38 year old marathon runner will eventually start to slow. Yes, he will. it's just doubtful any significant drop would have happened in the 6 months since setting the world record. Especially if he is doped, as you claim. But, don't worry, tips, keep predicting it and eventually you will be right and can pat yourself on the back and feel so proud.
Oh hey - I bet if you put a green banana on your kitchen counter and leave it there, eventually it will turn black. I called it - you heard it here first. You can go ahead and have this, tell it at parties with a smug look on your face. Feel smart.

You are not very bright. You go with the sheep and don’t think. This is comfortable for you. So many of you pedestrian minds take umbrage with a viewpoint that you disagree with. Not sure why you feel so inferior but some of it is indeed warranted.
Eliud is now 38. He is no longer the best in the world. This is the reality. Maybe he can do 2:04 at Boston.
Don't know why this gets so many downvotes. At some point he's gonna fall off the cliff.
The reason is because aging doesn’t lead to “falling off the cliff,” in the absence of a bad injury. You would expect a slower decay because of age, especially in an event like the marathon. Maybe if age was catching up he runs 2:04 in Berlin and not the world record. Then in Boston maybe he runs 2:07 and loses. Then next race, he’s 2:08-2:09 in NY and loses. This is a far more likely way aging will manifest than falling off the cliff.

Yes I have some agreement with your post about aging not typically leading to falling off a cliff BUT it usually leads to a gradual deterioration of performance. Eliud could not break 27 minutes for 10000m 11 years ago but he then became the best marathoner in history. Obviously skeptical people would question how he has pulled this off for so long. Yeah we know he leads a monastic lifestyle but so what? Armstrong outworked everyone of course. Eliud’s reign will not last forever and I believe his reign’s demise is happening now but he can still win Boston of course. He will likely be dethroned or retire within the next year or so. This does not take much insight to proclaim as it is not the way of the world.

Correction: It is the way of the world. In fact as you said Kiplimo may already be capable of defeating Eliud in a marathon.
Lmao doped to the gills which has lead to consistent performances as he ages but now is magically the time this doping stops working? Didn't realize there was an age limit for it working 😂

Intelligence is not your strength. You don’t see doped 40 year olds breaking world records very often.
This will not be a popular post, but all these old guys running the fastest marathons only proves the marathon isn't a real athletic event.
It's more like golf, where majors are often enough won by guys in their 40s. Fitness may be important, but experience counts even more. It takes a big fitness decline to outweigh that.
Think of your marathon pace. Slight huffing and puffing. You need high max vo2 for that? No, you need extremely efficient form like Eliud or Kenenisa. That's honed by experience.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Your trolling is so bad but this one is epic.
Gonna be great when the GOAT wins Boston. Looking forward to it very much - every one of his recent races is a masterpiece in one way or another, if not many.
