This race might come down to how well Nuguse endures the travel. Katir is over there all the time, right?
I hope the race delivers.
This started off as a thread about the 1500 but I've turned it into the official meet discussion thread as the meet is about to start.
The meet is on live on youtube if you have an Irish VPN. Need a VPN, go here.
Live results can be found here.
Here is our preview.

Well I paid good money to watch this meet and they don’t even have a decent camera on the track, just the overhead view. Pathetic!

Hopefully they will fix that.

Yeah this is frustrating. This is taking way too long to sort out
Clearly the international feed is stuck on womens shot for some reason. The women's 60 heats were zipping by in the background and the announcers (who are clearly remote and calling it off of monitors) are having to go all in on shot and admit they have no idea what is going on with the races in the background.
Some idiot has made the field camera the international feed. I bet this goes on for the entire meet.
Last round, maybe they'll move on. The announcer just mentioned the track will start...
They should take away Madrid's gold tour label for this video coverage alone. Filmed like it's some student project.
What a strange race by Moraa in that 800m
Any narrative for those of us stuck at work?
KEELY TOO SCARED TO SHOW UP!

In between cycles. She has a lot of fellow countrymen getting busted so it's better to be safe for a bit.

I thought Keely H was suppsed to be in the women's 800. She wasn't there. No Grant Holloway in 60h either - didn't he set the WR in Madrid last year? No Aleaia Hobbs in 60 flat. Weldon told me all were racing. Was he wrong?
Anyways, Moraa tried to make herself relevent just before 600 in women's 800 but didn't and looked bad on last lap. In men's 800, Saul Ordóñez, who won the Spanish champs over the weekend and ran 1:43.65 in 2018, dominated. The world indoor champ Marinao Garcia was terrible and never a factor in the race.
WHO IS ORDONEZ???? RANDO ASS SPANIARD IS BETTER THAN GARCIA NOW????
I don't think Grant will be a factor.

Lol, guy won a World indoors bronze 5 years ago. He’s been around.
Amos Bett was a who the heck is this guy. Looked great, apparently based out of Japan. Looked pretty raw and the theatrics of looking back, celebrating, stopping the watch was great.

That was never the plan. She's running in Birmingham on Saturday. And then she's got three rounds at the European indoors next week.

So far a very underwhelming meet for all of the hype.
