I think he will get fired. Those entitled boosters there won’t support him once they win 1 game again. You cannot have your own kid be the starting QB.

I’ll come back and admit I was wrong. He may get fired at the halfway point of the season. He’s gonna start acting crazy like LaVar Ball and lose all credibility. He should have stayed at his watered down program that was more like a junior college.
I always forget that Colorado actually got a national title in 1990.
And then basically the entire team got arrested. I suspect similar problems will arise here, but local cops will be less willing to brush it under the rug than they were for big time quasi-Christian guy McCartney.

Dude or Dudette. Please. He's not going to be fired midseason. He may not get Colorado to the top of the mountain but the program will be a lot better when he leaves for his next job after improving the current situation.
While I don't disagree that his tenure will probably end in failure or him leaving for a better/different job before achieving success at Colorado, you are very wrong about 2 different things.
#1, it is way way easier to be an authoritarian/disciplinarian coach with middle to upper class kids. Try doing that with kids who grew up with less father figures, more violence, and less structured high school coaching and you are not going to have a good time.
#2 and more importantly, power conference schools with any draw (which Prime Time brings to CU) don't need to recruit anyone from the local area if they don't want to. He could have a roster constructed from only deep south and LA kids if that's what he wants.
SMH...its the privileged kids that have the biggest problems with tough hard nosed disciplinarian type coaches. They are the ones who have never been told no that they can't bend rules.
Just checking in on my thread. I stand as originally stated. He’s going to freak out at a few press conferences and talk about race and white kids and stuff. He’ll get fired by year end. And what the hell is he doing with blood clots? He’s a showboat and what a bizarre hire. Any privileged CU boosters on here? Gonna support this guy?

Yeah this is my prediction too. He’ll improve CU to a .500 team over the next 2-3 seasons and then jump ship to the next big program that can offer him even more money.
