There is a 0% chance that she is running in NCAAs 21 months from now.
I think she will run 2023 indoor, outdoor and XC and 2024 indoor and then redshirt 2024 outdoor and focus on Olympic trials in 5k (she also has one less season of outdoor because 2021 outdoor was not COVID and did count against eligibility) Finish using all of her eligibility in 2024 XC, 2025 indoor and outdoor. I don’t think she will go pro early unless she runs something crazy in 1500 (sub 4:00) and or 5k (sub 14:50).

So about one year older than the typical college athlete in her year. Anyway if you are trying to make a point about the extra Covid year (it would have been an injury redshirt otherwise) then it seems relevant. Tuohy will definitely run next year, but 2024 is likely undetermined yet.
She is at 4:04 1500 shape early in the season. She could possibly go sub 4:00 in a year or two.
Definitely possible - and I hope she does it! Others have mentioned this in other threads but she does seem to be on kind of the same path as Jenny Simpson.

In college, yes. In the pro level, I don't know what path Tuohy chooses. Jenny became US biggest star in the 1500m. They both have the same range, although Tuohy edges her on the cross country resume. If Tuohy can break 4 in college, she might think twice about becoming a 5000m runner. Overall, Tuohy is just a very very talented distance runner.
She's already competing against the Pro's so that's not really a true statement. The one advantage she might have is training with Pro's but a lot of comes down to the coach. If she doesn't have a good coach that could be detrimental. From what I have seen when she competes, she has a good coach right now.
Tuohy ran 4:24 early in the season, that shows she's on another level. She will only get better and faster. College competition will make her stagnate, Pro competition will make her better and faster.
Tuohy can stay in college and compete agaisnt top professional runners. Isn't that exactly what she is doing now? Dr. Sander and Millrose Games are one of the top indoor meets for pro runners. For outdoors, surely Ray Flynn will put her in the top meets too. The difference is only the paycheck and training.
