After his incredible breakout season in 2019 I haven’t heard anything about this guy, though it looks like he still improved a bit with BTC. Assuming he’s going back to Powell?
Seriously. If you’re going to just post a guys last initial he should be someone that’s actually relevant. If you google Amos b nothing comes up. No idea who this guy is
"Spending money on T&F doesn't make business sense."
Laughable comment speaking about a shoe and apparel company
Go to a race, watch a race on TV, look how many Instagram followers these runners have, look how broadly T&F media reaches.
Then you will start to understand why spending $50-100k to get a small logo on Woody Kincaid uniform and shoes doesn't make sense. He only has 11.5k Instagram followers and races less than 10 times a year, most of which aren't televised/streamed. His 12:58 is worthless for helping Nike make money.
In addition, athleisure is king in sportswear. Very little $ comes from track and field.
You can be deliberately obtuse but that game changed. The traditional sponsorship model doesn't really make sense in the social media era. This isn't unique to track, plenty of sponsor dependent sports like Nascar are dealing with this.
Honest question, how many people have left since Shelby got banned. Anyone have a list? I can’t keep count
It is about the move to Eugene, not the situation with Shelby. If you talk to people on the team, they tell you that the move was not ideal for most of them. If Shelby was the issue, they would have left a one or two years ago, not now.
It's not the Bowerman's reputation as a doping group! It's the lack of cool coffee shops in Eugene when compared to Portland!
