Have you considered the possibility of your kids going to visit kids whose parents allow pornography? We all like to think we know other people's kids'character but we really don't.
I'm not a fan of a lot of govt control either but some things make sense.
Yeah, my kids will whip it out at their friends' homes when the porn comes on. I'll lean on my own kids' sensibility if not my ability to read parents and other kids.
Never mind that this whole thread is a free ad for pornhub to every high schooler and middle schooler visiting this site.
Yeah, LOL I'm sure your kids will never do anything you disapprove of.

You missed the point while crafting this strawman and clinging to your silly point. If those parents allow porn, what will this law do about it? Again, those parents may have ID uploaded or they allow their kids to have access to a VPN. I'm sure there are parents as naive as you and your kids, but I've raised mine to be responsible people and to be wary. It's also not my issue how you've raised your kids and I don't expect the government to make up for any deficiencies.
Utah is the #1 state for this immoral activity. Mainly accessed via computers.
Utah must have the most irreligious people too because religious folks don't do this. Religious folks are bound by the Bible to stay away from such immoral activity.
Remember the POPE got caught liking nude pics online like 2-3 years ago and had to apologize!

No, I didn’t miss the point. You think your kids will pack up and come home if one of their friends shows them some porn. Because you’re such a great parent. My kids are raising kids of their own now but I can tell you they did stuff my wife and I didn’t approve of when they were teens. It’s what teens do. But you go ahead and think your little Jane/Johnny can do no wrong. I guess I shouldn’t expect any different from someone who sees no harm in minors viewing pornography.
I think whether porn is good or bad depends on the age of the viewer, what type they're watching, and why they're watching.
If an 8 year old is watching, that's not okay obviously.
If they're watching really extreme, violent, etc types that's not okay. But if they're just watching softcore then that's probably fine.
If they're watching to "get it out of their system" that's fine. If they're watching because they're addicted and watch several hours a day everyday then they have a serious problem. If they're watching for "education" that's also a problem, because porn isn't exactly realistic both in regards to the acts performed but also the body types represented.

Isn't that just a reflection on your own porn viewing habits instead of the wide varieties of porn out there? I've doubt you actually scratched the surface of what is available. Certainly, I've learned a lot more about human anatomy from porn than in all the sex Ed classes in school.
Try placing a bet in a state that allows it without ID. Or, try buying cigarettes or having alcohol delivered without ID. Good luck. All this does is apply these same common sense identification verification requirements to another age-restricted product. So, either you're arguing for children to have unfettered access to pornhub or you are too ashamed to actually share your ID with the hub,
Insane. The country has an epidemic of violence. Movies TV and video games are huge contributors.... and we are going to regulate sexual recreation? Nuts. Unconstitutional.
