I’ve been dying to see this, does anyone know where to stream it?
How much would y’all pay to see an adaptation of “Once a Runner” as a movie with Craig Engels starring. Personally I’d pay in the millions

That Bruce Dern movie is pretty solid
When this movie came out Dern was on The Tonight Show (Johnny Carson) promoting it. He talked about how hard he trained and how good of shape he was in.
He shared a story that he was at UCLA track putting in his best workout and it was flowing like he running on air. Until, a long-haired hippie guy approached and said, "Excuse me, but would the joggers please go to the outside lane." Dern said it pissed him off. He was about to go challenge the guy to a race when he realized it was WR holder John Walker who was in town for the Pepsi meet held a few days later.

I’ve enjoyed many running movies but my overall favorite, bar none, is The Games.
Good movie. When it came out, I recall reading ( Sports Illustrated, I believe) that Michael Crawford had trained with Gordon Pirie in preparation for the role, and that he had run something like a 4:22-24 mile. I've tried to verify this over the years, without success.
IMO, without a doubt--Chariots of Fire. Winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture, beating out Indiana Jones and On Golden Pond.
cool running
Meatballs of course! Rudy the Rabbit

I have watched the first 30 minutes of it. I have mostly just been laughing the entire time. The acting is so bad, but for some reason I love it!

Has anyone seen Zatopek?
Looks incredible:
Definitely Meatballs. The best. No contest.
I would say The Jericho MIle.
Honorable mentions: (1) The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner; (2) Running Brave.
Have to also add Chariots of Fire to the honorable mentions. Not a huge fan of it though.
Forest Gump
Chariots of fire is the best I have seen.
Finish Line (1989), in the comedy (so bad it's almost good) category, featuring the future Thanos, Josh Brolin.
Gallowalkers
Yes, this is a real movie.

Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, based on the book of same name.
Here is the whole film.
