NAU mens teams. I’m interested in the mens rankings. Tennessee is very likely to make the top 20 this year with their recent transfers. It remains to be seen who gets hired at Texas with Coach Watson leaving. Will they take a step back?

Depends on who is healthy and in form at Nuttycombe. Podium finishers from last year should return to the top, with Tuohy taking the third spot. Valby, Cook and Herman in the top 10 wouldn't be a surprise, nor would marathoner Tierney Wolfgram making the biggest individual place jump from 2021.

The "top 5" starts to get crowded if you put 3 from NC State, and Chelangat, and Roe, and Valby, and McCabe..........(And there are more candidates such as Forbes, O'Neill, etc) I think it might be reasonable for NC State to have 3 in top 15 (1 in top 5), and 2 more in top 30. But, NM could have 2 in top 15 and 2-3 more in top 30 as well.

I wasn't predicting Starliper to be top 5, but was generally agreeing with the poster that Starliper would perform very well. I would predict Starliper somewhere from 15-20 at nationals. But I do think Tuohy and Chmiel are both likley to be top 5 at nationals.

So this year their top 7 is looking to be:
Tuohy
Starliper
Chmiel
Seymour
Bush
Rauber
Probably Shaw because of her 15:33 5K.
How close will Rauber be to their #5?
Seems like they got a great set up for 2023. Top 5 next year will be really good if Rauber gets close to their #4.

And then there's Logue. Having redshirted outdoors, she could make a nice jump this Fall. Recall her close at Nats last year--an extra 50m of trail and she finishes in 2nd place.

Cailie Logue? Already ran her 4 years of XC (17, 18, 19, 21), not shown on roster. I think she has track eligibility though.
