We looked into wearing a camera but it’s unfortunately DQable. The mic is a gray area thankfully. We’ll try for it in a post-worlds race.

Anyone know if Clayton’s coach is still coaching college kids at Akron? He’s not listed on their roster… may be on his way to retirement with Clayton as his last athlete?!

I commented on LaBadie in the “good 800 coaches” thread.

LaBadie hasn’t been at Akron the past few track seasons. I believe he left after Akron discontinued the men’s XC program. That was really unfortunate that Akron did that and hopefully they reinstate the men’s team but even if they do, LaBadie probably won’t go back. Murphy has been making an effort to get Akron to start the men’s XC program.

I’m not even 100% sure that LaBadie is still coaching Murphy and/or anyone else. He is probably looking to retire. After the Nike Oregon Project fiasco and all of the with Salazar, Murphy went back to LaBadie. TBH, I think Murphy has run better when under LaBadie’s tutelage.
