Why aren't there anymore serial killers nowadays?

My pain is constant and sharp and I do not hope for a better world for anyone. In fact, I want my pain to be inflicted on others. I want no one to escape. But even after admitting this—and I have countless times, in just about every act I’ve committed—and coming face-to-face with these truths, there is no catharsis. There are likely many serial killers in middle-of-nowhere areas of BC. There's a documentary about killings of mostly aboriginal women along Highway 16 in the past 50+ years. And here's a page of missing/murdered men in BC. I imagine it would be hard to track down killers in remote areas preying on vulnerable people like prostitutes, random travelers, etc.
