Even though you didn’t win the contest, you’re a winner in my book.
Yeah I was pretty happy with my guesses. My thoughts were:
- James West is being overrated from his stellar 2020 season. Feels like he has been posting lots of 3:40+ 1500m in all kinds of different competition at all different times of year 2021-2022. I was fairly certain he wasnt going to break 4 in a situation like this.
- Wisner underrated because of lack of name recongition. But he has improved to the point where him vs Teare over 800m may legitimately be a good race. I put absolutely no weight in his old 1500m/Mile prs and figured a strength 800 guy with a recent 1:47 indoors is good for sub-4 mile alone.
- Teare > Hocker solo + Teare > Hocker outside of "peak" season.
