CJ certainly gave Americans something to be excited about for the first 21 miles of the Boston Marathon two years in a row, but honestly, how many times is that kind of strategy going to pay off? Sure, it worked out for Meb at the perfect time, but Meb was on a different level. I hope CJ does it again next year and the year after, but realistically, I don't see him ever placing top 5 without perfect conditions, a strong tailwind and a huuuuge lead.
