According to my formulas, he will run 2:34.12. I can see him outperforming this time by about a minute, but I will stick with the projected time.

Google running coaches…there are lots of hobby joggers that hire coaches. And there are a lot of people offering the service. He’s got enough of an online presence to attract clients were he so inclined. Look how much he’s mentioned here.

Honestly a prediction is almost impossible because we don't know what he's going to do. Remember Amsterdam. He had a raceplan. He had a paceplan. He was in good shape but then Butter ran away and he decided to follow because he felt good. Always talking about he no need technology because he's got the feeling...well we all know how this ended.

So I'd say if he goes out conservatively he will fade and be around 2.24ish but if he tries to stay with a fast group he'll definately blow up again and then it can be 2.30, 2.40 or worse...

I think it's rough again, but redeems himself.

He has done some more work this time around but not enough.
i am thinking he may blame the shoes this time. He won’t wear Nikes but some other shoe he decides to wear. Which might turn in 3-4 vlogs of him cutting up the shoe ect.
Like others I am frustrated he might not take advantage of his talent. He just needs to follow a tried and true training plan. I actually would find it fascinating if he did.

There are a surprising number of 3:30 marathoners with well-paying jobs who are happy to pay for coaching. Over the last decade or so, online coaching has become a sustainable income stream for a lot of people. It's a pretty straightforward sell for someone who already has a large YouTube following - and no, most of these potential clients would see no difference between a 2:17 marathoner and a 2:37 marathoner. It's all fast to them.

If he travels over early to acclimatize and has favorable conditions with no gastro issues from all that Dutch bread I reckon he could go sub 3

If he runs smart my guess is he lands the Olympic Trials Standard of 2:18:00 My guess is he is going to run 2:17:21.

I think I want him to do well. He gets a lot of crap on here, some deserved, some not so much. Anything under 2:21 and the world has to deal with at least two more thon buildups and inane content. An explosion (over 2:30) will lead to one final excuse video and then a massive transition in goals and content.

To be honest, I think you're close. Can't see sub-2:20, although yes if the training was correct that would be in sight. That's a given at this stage (poor training).

He has ran a 1:09 or so recently... if he gets the taper half right then he could maybe split that on the day. But if he does 1:08-1:10, he surely can't neg split from what we've seen. I say 1:09 flat through half, followed by low 1:20s.

If he tries to split lower than 1:08, he'll definitely be high 1:20s second half if he hangs on at all.

Shame, as with proper training he'd run <1:06 half more often, and split 1:08/1:09 on the right day for the full.

Sadly my boy is going to fall apart. That last workout he did showed he is not doing well.
