“In my opinion” and “under suspect” kind of emphasize that this is his thoughts. Warhurst coaches a variety of talent levels and many show vast improvement on the very nice crew without running themselves into the ground.

Well, he is restricted by his knowledge.
But that doesn't make him wrong.
I don't know. If you are along the sport long enough as a fan, I think you hesitate to boldly and absolutely declare anyone perfect.
Good life lesson too, everyone has flaws.
This kid sounds like a piece of work. Drinking too much of the Very White Track Club cool-aid. Anyone who beats Willis is a presumed cheater. Nobody has ever been better naturally.

ya, these racists always make it a white black thing,, always looking to make it negative.
it seems these types of fakedoogooders, have no exposure, to the world, nor other "racial" groups.
the rest of the "black" world just laughs, is disgusted with the so called "black" american.
which in itself is a racist thing to say.
anyway, the average african isn't racist like americans, in general, it's a common theme.
Here come the "clean police". If people think that the sport is so dirty..then don't watch it. I enjoy track and field period! When I competed the only thing I cared about was improving and winning.

Pointing out someones Eurocentric world view is not racist.
Besides, racism implies a structural distinction or oppression. In the world we live in and its current construction, you cant be racist to a white person. You can discriminate or be bigoted potentially, but you literally cannot be racist.

I'd say you could trim the fat here to 3 Olympic Medals and 9 Olympians. You should probably add in World Championship medals, which is probably just a weak point for Warhurst if you are excluding it. Sub 4-minute milers is a fun thing to compare for NCAA coaches, and the HS mile record is a non-sequitor outside of the US.
You could put in Patrick Sang, Haji Adilo, and Addy Ruiter internationally and the credentials of their athletes blow away Warhurst's. The doping suggestion would probably be rooted in racism more than anything else.[quote]
You’d say any accusation against an African training group is racist.
Who has ever seriously suspected or claimed Moh Ahmed or Lopez Lomong of doping?
They’re not rooted in racism, they’re rooted in reality based on past indiscretions and out of competition testing. Stop virtue signaling.

He sure is fast enough to call things as they are. Are you saying he is too young to realize that cheating is required? Nope, call it out.
I’ve never heard of the guy. That means he’s never won anything or ran any fast times. Which means he’s a loser in my book.
Once you cite coaches who dope their athletes with impunity and have the pick of the top altitude athletes in the world and claim that therefore they are much better, you lose all credibility.
That doesn't mean that Ron Warhurst is the greatest coach in the world.

Best way to test this hypothesis is with data.
Warhurst:
3 Olympic medals (Diemer, Willisx2, Kevin Sullivan should have had 1 in 2000)
9 Olympians
26 sub four minute milers
HS Mile record
Come up with a list of other coaches with better credentials than this, then we can debate whether they have benefited from doping

People who cry racism around every corner and under every bush not only lack intelligence but show that they are by definition racist. They cannot examine the evidence ,they can only see skin colour and think that's all that everyone sees. Sad obsession.

What are you smoking buddy? Racism is racism. When you attribute something negative to a group of people based on their race - white, black, yellow, green, your a racist. The fact that some people think that you can't be racist towards a particular racial group shows them to be the most arrogant of racists

Yep. The “Very White Track Club.” What a douche. We don’t refer to the USA 4x4 team as the “Very Black Track Club.” We just enjoy watching them compete. F off w your jumped the shark wokeness and leave it out of track and field.

I agree, but he’s still just a kid regurgitating what he hears from his track mates. He will learn.
I am rooting for this kid. I would like to think we have another sub-3:50 miler on our hands who can go out and compete internationally.

The facts: Warhurst's international success is pretty weak compared to the 3 coaches I mentioned. So then I would love for the "evidence" that Warhurst's group is clean vis a vis theirs.
The doping suggestion is usually around the idea that Kenya/Ethiopia have a decent batch of doping positives, and worse testing than their Western counterparts allegedly. I'm not sure how valid these are, Kenya's definitely ramped up testing and Addis Ababa-based athletes (Adilo's group) aren't exactly the hardest to reach. I'm not saying Hobbs is being "racist," but certainly Warhust's group has pretty weak accomplishments compared to the stable of the best East African coaches.

No, if you want to get after African athletes managed by the Rosas or coached by Salazar, I think it is valid to be skeptical.
When you're going after the three coaches I mentioned who do not have a history of doping allegations/positive tests then I think you are crossing a line. If doping is so easy in Ethiopia than why did Kejelcha move to the US? What is the argument that Kamworor, Kipyegon and Kipchoge are doping? That they're fast?
